Barbara Bright is true to her name, a bright enthusiastic passionate lady and always has been, ever since she was a senior fashion jewellery buyer, creating many fashion jewellery brands for high street multiples.
After many years of experience in the business, the passion is still there. Aware Jewellery has hit the high street under the design direction of Barbara creating own label for many fashion jewellery and clothing brands. Barbara was inspired as a little girl, growing up with a fashion designer mother who ran her own business in the 1950’s, being brought up amongst the cuttings of fashion magazines and fabrics.
So fashion has run through Barbara’s blood from the off and she was lucky enough to be able to wear clothes in the early 60’s/70’s from the great fashion icons such as Ossie Clarke, Biba, Bill Gibb,Mary Quant and many more whilst in those days she would get her weekly fix from Kensington Market and the Biba store.
Now, you will find Barbara taking pictures of people in the street getting ideas from what they are wearing and visiting many markets n the UK and abroad capturing raw street life., as well as visiting vintage shops, which inspire her to design an eclectic fashion jewellery range.
She has a great team of people working along side her and believes that family and good friends are what drives her the most to continue being passionate about Aware Jewellery.
